Zone Experience Modifier (ZEM) Chart

Found this information as I was out searching the web, as I have been trying to find the best places to go. I found reference to this material on one board. That was linked to another board that gave credit to EQDRUIDS. So, I am going to assume that this is where the initial information originated. So credit goes to EQDruids for this information. I have taken the information they provided, which was zone and then a Zone Number. This zone number has a base of 75. If the zone is rated at 75, then there is no experience modifier. If higher, then there is a bonus, and if lower, there is a negative bonus. I have included that bonus as well. Well, here is the chart! As we all know, Befallen, Crushbone, and Paludal Caverns top the list. Surprising to me was to find Lake of Ill Omen and The Grey at the bottom of the list, having negative modifiers. If a zone is missing from this list, it means there was no data yet acquired. I can not guarantee the numbers here, but after casual perusal they appear to look good.

As far as my caluclations have went, The Grey and Lake of Ill Omen both do NOT have negative modifiers. The only zones with negative modifiers are hometowns without a newbie zone (ie NFP, SFG). So I have to disagree with your table almost entirely once you go past the boosted xp mods.

Anyone know the ZEM values for lost dungeons? Pretty sure it's less than PoP but higher than most other high level zones.

The ZEM values for LDoN are all 5%that I have seen so far. The XP seems faster because you have a group bonus and the group is ususally speeding to finish. Syal-Last time I checked LOIO and The Grey are neg. There are plenty of programs out there that just let you see the ZEM for the zone. Black and white answer there no need to calc.

Well I imagine the list you found is outdated. Since about 6 patches ago they took out the zem for POPs and added the group xp bonuses. POP zones still are great xp, mobs are higher and all but you'll need to at least duo to see the xp that they started out with.

Well, not quite. They didn't "take out" the zem for PoP zones, they simply lowered it considerably. However since very few classes can actually solo in PoP zones you will not notice this decrease since group exp has been boosted from a max of 20% with 6 players to a max of 80% with 5 players. This makes calculating the ZeM LDoN zones that much more difficult to do since you will never be in there fighting by yourself. Unless of course you get a few people to group with you just to get an adventure and do an exp experiment. Acually that's not a bad idea. I might do that this weekend.

ZEM in PoP is still higher than anywhere else* even after the exp change, and no, just about every class that can solo effectively pre-PoP can solo effectively in PoP too (just look at the class-specific boards around the net for solo guides). The strategies are often exactly the same, though you'll sometimes see minor modifications due to the change in ratio between HP and damage done for PoP mobs (e.g. they hit harder, and have less HP than mobs of the same level elsewhere). "Calculating ZEM" is not the hard part. The hard part is calculating experience earned over time, because ZEM is only one factor that goes into that calculation. Other factors include: average mob level, your level, likelyhood of group vs. solo, average time to kill per mob, etc. When you look at it that way, the highest ZEM is not always a good thing.... * - Well, That's a bit untrue. There are quite a few zones with higher ZEM than PoP, but by the time you can solo PoP, none of them give exp (e.g. PC, Befallen, Crush, Kaesora, Sol A, etc).

What are the ZEM % for old planes like Mischief or Airplane. How about Hate and fear?
